I
picked this book up years ago at a library book sale but never got around to
reading it. I wasn't too impressed with the movie when it came out, but now
that I've finally read the book I'm glad I did. It is far superior to the
movie. The order of events at first seems random, but by the end of the book,
one can see how intricately Niffenegger has woven this story. It is still
slightly creepy to picture 40 year-old Henry romancing 18 year-old Clare
(even though she is his wife/wife-to-be), but if the reader can just go along
with that aspect of the story, they will find a truly enjoyable tale of
overcoming, and sometimes submitting to, fate.
